Our little family has started a journey that I hope will lead to some of the best experiences of our lives. We are moving to South Korea for 2 years and are going to homeschool. My goal is to find fun everyday and make memories that will last a lifetime. If there is one thing I want Mitchell and Darci to learn from all of this, it is that all of these memories are far more valuable than any material item. So our journey begins .....

Leaves! Leaves! Leaves!
Day 7: November 29, 2011
first day of homeschool, Mitchell and Darci had "occupational training" with daddy (raking leaves in Aunt Alice's yard), jumping into the pile was PE for the day, and then a nice evening looking at Christmas lights with Dave and Darci at Rhema

Tulsa Zoo Day
Day 6: November 28, 2011
5 hour tour at the zoo, being the only attendants, makes you feel like the Grizwalds at Wally World, animals were entertaining dispite 36 degrees, and one very sad grizzly bear

An Afternoon on The Farm
Day 5: November 27, 2011
a good morning at church, a trip to the farm, Dave and the kids moving hay bales with the tractor, learned that Uncle Steve needs a portapotty out there because Darci does not "do that" in the wilderness, there are some things we never speak of again, cow tooth necklaces, and sleepovers with Sarah are always entertaining

Getting Into the Christmas Spirit
Day 4: November 26, 2011
breakfast at the Savoy (yum), a little Christmas shopping with Sarah, sitting on Santa's lap at 34 is a new experience (I hope I get what I asked for), Mexican and margaritas for lunch, a nice long afternoon nap, roasted marshmallows and s'mores, teaching Darci to sew, and watching White Christmas (my absolute favorite Christmas movie of all time) .....it has been quite a wonderful day!

Going to the Center of the Universe
Day 3: November 25, 2011
a little more sleep, decorating Sarah's house for Christmas, underground tunnels, a trip to the center of the universe, cartwheels in the crystal ballroom, finding out that hot apple cider is not to supposed to be hot according to Mitchell, time in the hot tub, some knitting, and some Sherlock Holmes...boy, do I need to go to bed! by the way, I love you Dave Bodily!

Thanksgiving Day with The Kaubles
Day 2: November 24, 2011
a 6 hour cooking marathon, 20 mins worth of eating including a few butt buns, a 2 hour nap
a little drag racing, a giant man, and a football game that almost ended in "our arrests" according to Darci,
one CRAZY play written by Darci involving a trip to South America and a Giant Turkey,
The Thanksgiving Feast
a Christmas Light display, a few tears and lots of laughs equals one pooped Pokahontas (my part in the play and Darci's spelling).......and by the way Sarah Kauble, don't forget to change your clothes tomorrow! Goodnight!
