As you know, I spend my days teaching the kiddos. Homeschool has been a challenge at times and I am sure will continue to be so. I do, however, enjoy it. I love that I can teach the kids and learn with them as well. This week, Mitchell has been studying the oceans and we were able to do a fun experiment. Mitchell's friend even got to participate. It was FUN!

One of the things we look forward to most since we have been here are the care packages from home. I am so grateful to all of our family who taken time to ship us these gifts. You can probably imagine the kids' excitement when Dave walks in with a new box to open. So I would like to say thanks to my dad for one of this week's happy moments!

For those of you who joined us last week, you may remember that the love of my life decided to decorate our apartment for Halloween with bag after bag of fake cobwebs. Well, GRAVITY has started to take its toll and the decorations are now drooping so low that the kids and I are having to duck when we walk through house to avoid getting caught in them. Unfortunately, Darci wasn't so lucky one afternoon!
and I still have over a week before they come down!
I sure hope all of their friends enjoy it!

The weather has turned quite chilly in the last couple of weeks. Fall is beautiful here in Korea. We haven't gotten to go hiking to see all of the pretty colors just yet, but the trees downstairs in the courtyard are beautiful. I snapped a couple pics so you could see what we do.
On Friday, I had my first doctor's appointment at Uijeongbu St. Mary's Hospital. It was quite a unique experience......from taking my own blood pressure to getting my blood drawn by a guy who didn't wear gloves. The fact that the door holders at the front entrance were wearing white gloves with their matching blazers made me feel SOOOO much better. I do have to say that was the quickest I have ever been seen by a specialist and gotten blood work in my life. We were out of there within 45 minutes.....now THAT is something the US could learn from Korea.

The final thing I want to share with you made a very stressful weekend a little bit better. On Saturday evening, we were watching a family movie when I heard what sounded a lot like gunfire. Dave even thought it may be gunfire, until I looked out our kitchen window and were blessed with this.......
