That is how long we have been in Korea. This past week was spent organizing for the new homeschool year and spending time with our friends before they head back to regular school. i have a lot of fun stuff to share with you so let's get started.
On Thursday, the kids and I walked down to New City to meet our friends the Goliczs at Lolli Polli's. I know I have mentioned this place before, but the kids LOVE it. Darci was SUPER excited because two of her friends got to join us as well. After a round of jumping, Mitchell headed off with Erin and the boys and the girls and I had lunch together. They spent the rest of the afternoon doing what girls do best.....GIGGLE!
I told you she was SUPER excited
after this, Darci proclaimed, "Oh no, I've turned into a street dancer"
(a little Korean lady stopped to take their picture)
How much is that doggie in the window?
(you know the one pooping in the corner)
jump time
a little dodge ball too
Darci bought this thinking it was apple juice
NOPE! wheat water!
begging me for Won
handsome boys
boy, did we have our hands full!
pretty girls
where we ate for lunch
they gave her a baby dish to eat out of
garlic rice...SPICY but yummy
they ate the chicken at least
making friendship bracelets
See! We match!
For dinner that evening, we took the kids to pizza night on base and I managed to grab a couple of photos that I had to include.
not a great view of the parking lot, BUT
the sun bouncing off the mountain was pretty
I let Mitchell ride shotgun....
he was as happy as a dog hanging out the window
until Dave started driving through town!
I also have a small collection of RANDOMNESS to show you. As usual, sometimes Korea can offer quite a few odd things.
I hope that the patients come out looking better than the smiley face!
Yes, you read that right. You can win a MacGyver Knife
in the claw game here!
I am sure chicken and beer do cause JOY in some people ☺
people run red lights all of the time, WHY even bother
stopping at this point?
BAD drivers come from the US too!
this is Dave's motor pool
it looks like they were drunk when they painted the yellow line
AND there are yellow lines like that everywhere
translated... President Bush is saying
"care of intestine cancer"
On Saturday night, Darci convinced Dave to take the family for dessert at the Ann House. I posted about the Ann House, last week. Darci loved it so much that we just HAD to go back. Here are a few pics from this visit.
Darci has been taking her book everywhere ☺
We sat at a different table, so we got a new quote.
the little pitcher of lemonade reminded me of my
Grandma Mary, who always served sweet tea like this
tiny cup of cherry tea
tastes like cherry lifesavers
Christmas decorations and a cupid!
random teddy bear
Dave was FINALLY off on Sunday and we were able to spend some family time together. We took the kids to the park and to the pool for one last swim before it closes for the summer. As usual, my 3 children acted as CRAZY as ever.
I thought we were done with pushing our kids on the swing a long time ago...
I WAS WRONG!
Well, that's about it for this installment of Bodily Family Fun. I hope you enjoyed it. I am off to prepare for the coming storm. Pics of Typhoon Bolaven coming up! Until then...... annyeonghi geyseyo!
