From Crafts to Cleaning!

Wow!  Has it been a whole week already?  I guess it has.  This one really flew by.  I don't really have anything much to share this time.  We just did the usual stuff.  Dave was working and the kids and I were homeschooling.  The kids and I did go to the dentist this week, which was quite interesting.  It had to be the most efficient office I have ever entered.  Our appointments were at 11:30, and we were ALL x-rayed, cleaned, examined, and out the door by 12:20.  Noooooo CAVITIES for the kiddos, THANK GOODNESS, but I, on the other hand, have to go back.

We also had our first official Girl Scout Meeting of this school year.  I am the PROUD new leader of Darci's Brownie Troop.  I forgot to take pictures of this meeting, but I will try to remember to do so at the next meeting in a couple of weeks.  We have a GREAT group of girls and I think we are going to have a wonderful year.

The only pictures I have to share with you this time are of Darci and I's weekend CRAFT project.  Recently, Darci asked me if she could have a bed for her American Girl doll.  After looking online, I felt like it would be in our best FINANCIAL interest to make one!  Not to mention, it would be FUN to do with her. So we set out to make a bed for Kristine.  So put together a $5.00 wooden shelf, some plastic cups, glue, and an old Halloween costume with a little work on the sewing machine and you've got yourself a bed.  It may not be the prettiest, but Darci LOVES it.

the base....odd combo, but hey, it worked

old Prom Queen costume

there were A LOT of seams to rip

learning how to thread the machine

glad I got to teach her this

ok, so the craft was getting a little out of hand!

it could have been so much bigger if I had a HOBBY LOBBY

even managed a new dress for Kristine

So that's about it.  We spent the rest of the weekend at home.  The Korean holiday of Chusok was this weekend.  It is their Thanksgiving and we decided to not try to do much because of the traffic and crowds.  So hopefully, we will get to do some fun stuff in the days ahead and I will be back next week to share them.  Until then, I will leave you with one of my favorite sights of the week.  Annyeonghi geyseyo!
