The Patrol, The Cake, and The Crazy Christmas Elf

Hey guys!  Sorry I am getting this posted a day later than usual.  I took Monday night off to watch a little Charlie Brown Christmas with the family.  I am enjoying the holiday spirit and I hope you are too.

Last week was pretty easy week for us.  The kids and I went to another Girl Scout function and Dave celebrated his birthday.  So let's just jump right into the fun.

On Wednesday, Darci's Girl Scout troop joined the Korean Girl Scouts to help with one of their safety patrols.  We met them in New City, where we collected trash and tried to educate the public about traffic safety.  It was a very interesting experience to say the least.

our girls really weren't sure what to do

our signs were in English, of  course, not so sure they made a difference

the other half of our group set up across the street

where's Mitchell?!?!?!

some of the Korean girls don't like to have their pictures made

we moved to a different corner

the Korean Girl Scouts bought mandu off of a street cart to share with all the girls

The kids and I also spent some time making ornaments for the Christmas tree this week.

Saturday was Dave's birthday.  While Mitchell and Dave started the day off by golfing, Darci and I made him a birthday cake.  It is probably the ugliest cake ever, but it was made with LOTS OF LOVE!  That evening, the kids both went to sleepovers thanks to my friends, Tammy and Dawn.  Meanwhile, Dave and I had a fun evening with our friends Ron and Choi.  It was a wonderful day, even Dave thought so!

Darci picked out the colors

not pretty, but very yummy

Happy Birthday, honey!

To finish out this week's post, I thought I would leave you with a couple of pics I took at Dave's office one night this week.  These two kids are a little kooky, but they sure do make things fun!

As always, thanks for reading.  I hope you make it back next week to see what we have been up to.  Until then.....

Annyeonghi geyseyo!
